Got this for a rainy weekend. My two kids ended up making planes at the kitchen table for almost two hours and then turned the hallway into a flying contest. Better than another screen activity for sure!
My 8 year old is already into paper airplanes so this was right up his alley. He kept comparing which one went farther and which flew straighter. We had paper planes all over the living room by the end of the night lol.
Got this for my grandson for the weekend. He sat at the kitchen table making planes for almost an hour, then took them outside to test them. He was so proud when the first one actually flew.
A couple of the folds were tricky for my 6 year old, so I helped with the first plane. After that he understood it better and wanted to do the next one himself. Nice activity to do together.
I’ve bought craft kits before where the kids finish them once and that’s it. With these they kept going back outside, changing little folds and trying again. That part was surprisingly fun to watch.
We used one set with my two boys and of course it turned into a competition! They each picked their favorites and kept trying to beat the other one for distance. Definitely more fun than I thought paper airplanes would be.
The instructions were pretty easy to follow and the paper designs are really vibrant. My daughter had fun making them and then racing them with her brother outside.
The designs are really nice and there is a good variety. One plane came out a little crooked because we rushed the folds, but the next one worked much better. My kid learned pretty quickly that folding carefully actually changes how it flies!
Fun for kids and the directions were very easy to follow. My boys made a few after dinner and had a blast!
Bought this as a birthday activity for my nephew. He needed a little help getting the folds sharp on one of them, but once it was finished he immediately ran outside to fly it. That was the part he cared about most.
My son already likes making paper airplanes with regular printer paper, so this was right up his alley. The patterned paper and fold lines make a huge difference in how far they fly. He keeps trying every design!
Frequently Asked Questions
What's Included in Each Set?
Each set includes 16 different paper aircraft designs and a folding guide to help you build them.
Everything is designed around the experience of folding, launching and discovering how each aircraft flies.
Is It Easy for Kids to Make?
The included folding guide takes kids through the process step by step. Some aircraft are easier than others, so younger children may appreciate a little help with the trickier folds.
That's part of the fun — building something together and seeing it take flight.
Will Kids Actually Keep Playing With It?
There's more to do than simply finish folding a plane.
Kids can test different designs, compare how far they fly, adjust their folds and challenge friends or family to a race.
With 16 different aircraft to explore, the fun doesn't have to end after the first build.
Do These Paper Airplanes Really Fly?
Yes! These are paper airplanes designed to be folded and launched by hand.
Each aircraft has a different design, so its flight can vary depending on the folds, launch technique and conditions.
Try a gentle launch, make small adjustments and see which design becomes your favorite.
What Happens if a Plane Gets Damaged?
They're made from paper, so creases and wear can happen during play.
Minor bends may be corrected with careful refolding. The included guide can also help kids practice making paper airplanes again using suitable replacement paper.
Printed replacement designs are not included unless you purchase another set.
Does It Come With a Motor or Remote Control?
The standard Paper Aircraft Kit is designed for traditional hand-launched flying.
Want to take it further? The Powered RC Upgrade is an optional add-on sold separately. It includes a motorized flight system and remote control for powered flying.
The RC upgrade is not included with the standard paper airplane set. Please check aircraft compatibility before purchasing the upgrade.
Is This a Good Christmas Gift?
If they love airplanes, building things or hands-on activities, this makes a thoughtful gift to consider.
Instead of just unwrapping another toy, they get 16 aircraft to build, test and enjoy.
It's also a fun way for parents, grandparents and kids to spend time together during the Christmas break.
What's the Benefit of Buying 2 or 3 Sets?
One set is a great way to get started. Multiple sets are especially useful for siblings, friends and family flight challenges.
With 2 sets, each child can have their own aircraft to build and race. With 3 sets, there's even more room for sharing, friendly competition and gifting.
You'll also save 15% when buying 2 sets or 20% when buying 3 sets, based on the current bundle offers.
